The dedication of memorial stone in honor of Steve Durbin was held at Town Hall on May 15th.

At the Double Oak Council meeting on Monday, May 15, Mayor-elect Mike Donnelly was sworn in for a new 2-year term. This will be his 4th term as Mayor. Scott Whisenhunt, Asst. Fire Chief was elected on the May 6th was sworn in for a 2-year term and Stacie Stoehner was appointed to the vacant Council seat for 1-year on the Town Council.
Connor Loadman, Matt McClay, and Bill Welch attended live fire training on Saturday, May 6th. The scenarios were involving liquified petroleum gas (LPG). The training was held in Wichita Falls, Texas.
A tree fell on power lines and brought them down causing a power outage on March 16th. Our crews worked to remove the tree. This was located in a resident's back yard. CoServ restored the power.
The Monday's training location was a vacant building to be demolished but it was razed earlier than expected. So we improvised with some hose training for the new members.
Our crew manning Station 4 for the Flower Mound Fire Department while they attended their annual banquet. It was good to give back to Flower Mound. February 11, 2017.
Brush 552 - Re-work of the bed due to rust issues under the protective lining. All equipment was removed from the bed and the old lining was removed. We are thankful it was only surface rust where the bed was still viable. A new Rhino liner was sprayed-on and the equipment was re-installed. A big "Thank You" to the Barnharts for completing this project. February 2017.
